Glendale apartments are hooked up through Suddenlink Cable – Glendale was a last minute lease due to the large number of students this year. Postcards were sent out to students letting them know about wireless and about CCA – listed IT’s website – postcards were also put in their campus mailboxes.  A few wireless problems with Mac issues

Laura – Cdigix – music downloads, video – cTrax free to all students – link to Cdigix through student life webpage – an expensive venture. There have bee some issues with Cdigix – Laura will stay on top of this one.

Laura – Course management system – Blackboard and WebCT are merged – we will stay with WebCT/blackboard for now.

NEW BUSINESS

Laura - Emergency Preparedness  Day– Laura looking for Volunteers to test out how the preparedness day goes – asked those teaching to let her know – Dave Mader, David Marchetti, Taran McZee, Sam Crowther.  Laura will be here for Pandemic day to support the faculty.

Discussed Pandemic Day and outcome could be much different if students weren’t on campus – 90% will be on campus that day.  Could be overload on phone systems during a real Pandemic

Laptop Policy – Provost would like recommendations regarding laptop use in classrooms drafted and would like the TAG committee to set it up – Dave Mader has agreed to draft one.  Final note: Professors make the decisions about what can and cannot be used in their classes – some courses may require that you have your laptop in class, some may permit limited laptop usage for note taking, and others may say no laptops at all.

Title III will be over as of Sept 30, 2006.  1.7 Million for Technology – good news – MC will support the technology out of the school budget
