Faculty forum Eric Fitch presented on technology he has purchased - on Friday attendance was very low (reason could be: Good Friday)
Multimedia Rooms Assessment group (Dave Cress, Angela Burdiss, Joe Sullivan) will tour the multimedia rooms already established on campus (May 1, 11:00) and interview those using the rooms This group will make recommendations as to the room set ups and lay-out of equipment also discuss fixed vs. mobile units, white-boards vs chalk boards.
Bartha Visual Jim Fry mentioned that this company is a little weak in the area of support and knowledge of the equipment that they are installing.
Vickie Graham is presently getting quotes from different vendors.
Laura will contact other schools who have dealt with vendors we are considering to see what they are doing in regards to multimedia classrooms/wireless classrooms and how the service has been.

Laura stated that there would be additional email training sessions set up in the future.
New Business
This is the last TAG meeting of the year.
Next years meetings will be on Mondays at noon, location to be determined. If you no longer want to serve, or would like to recommend an additional person to serve on TAG let Sue DeWine or Laura Little know TAG will remain small group of no more than 15 people in order to be effective.
Email Laura your summer schedules in case the TAG committee needs to get together.
Training activities will be conducted over the summer Connie Golden and Laura Little are holding two day workshops on May 8 & 9 on Dreamweaver and Powerpoint among others.
Dave Mader discussion about compatibility of various programs XP, 98, 2000 and which should be in all labs?
Seth Wolfram - Thomas computer lab computers are extremely slow (special software issue?) who oversees lab. Grace Johnson usually calls in problems but is on sabbatical Paula Lewis has been calling in when something is not working. (Problems cannot be fixed unless someone is aware there is a problem)
Motion put before TAG committee regarding blue card money and that the students who can do the work are often penalized because they are ineligible for work/study (yellow card) money. Presently there is limited blue card money available on campus and each department has a limited amount available. John Davis was appointed as spokesperson for the group and it was unanimously voted that he will take this issue up with the Financial Aid Department.
Letter has been sent to incoming students encouraging (not demanding) them to bring laptop computers with specs for wireless.
Discussion about faculty computer recycling program (now on 4-year basis) if Profs request laptop they will still need to return their older computer (including monitor and keyboard) back to IT for recycling Also discussed importance of purchasing additional insurance on laptops.
Laura informed TAG that we are right on track with Title III and thanked TAG for their service.
