Laura Little, Instructional Technologist
$5,000 from the Ohio Learning Network to develop an online learning community of faculty at MC. Along with providing support for the community's development on campus, this grant will connect members of the learning community with others who are doing similar projects in southeast Ohio.
Dave McShaffrey, Biology
$100,000 + from the Clean Ohio Conservation Fund to develop a biology field station on 74 acres in Washington County. (This grant will actually be paid to the Friends of Lower Muskingum River, but Marietta College will receive funds to develop the land as a result of this grant.)
Richard Danford, Modern Languages
$1,500 from the Ohio Humanities Council to help bring a theater group from the Methodist University at Piricicaba, Brazil, to present a historically researched play about the little-known emigration of Americans to Brazil after the Civil War.
Meg Griffith, Leadership Major
With the Ely Chapman Foundation, was awarded a $1,000 grant from the Carter Foundation.
